Griot's Garage THE BOSS Foam Cannon Reviews
Customer Reviews
Finally just pulled the trigger on the Griot's BOSS after trying a number of other high-end and value foam cannons. It definitely lives up to the billing! First, the construction is far superior to most competitors and it is apparent as soon as you put it in your hands. Built like a tank with stainless steel internals. It is great to not deal with the corrosion on brass and plated cannons, so I am sure that this will last a lifetime. The metering tips and direct bottle attachment are great features! I didn't think I would use this but now I am addicted to it. It will thread most standard bottle threads (I have used KCx and ADS bottles) and is much quicker than dealing with dilutions in the bottle. On a 1000 PSI and 2.5 GPM pressure washer with a 1.25 mm orifice, I measured about 1:75 dilution at the panel with one tip and 1:50 with the other, which probably equates to about 1:10 to 1:5 dilution ratio in the bottle.
A few notes: You can modify the size of the fan, but cannot change the angle from anything other than vertical, which I see as a positive because I never see the need to change this and just gives something else to get bumped and fiddled with constantly on other cannons. Performance of both foam production and metering tips is dependent on the pressure washer setup so you will need to be sure to compensate for this with choosing the right orifice size and also the correct metering tip. I plan to upside to 1.45 mm orifice to get a slightly more dilute output from the metering tip.

A rock solid built cannon. Does everything correctly. I need to still evaluate the dosing tips. I'm pretty happy with it.
The build quality of this foam cannon is just what I was looking for. From the full stainless steel body to the sturdy bottle, it is a nice upgrade over the MTM PF 22.2 I was previously using. Currently using with an Active 2.0 and getting great foam as well.
I also enjoy the fact I don't need to dilute soap, and just use the provided metering tips to save time as I do use the Griots Surface Wash and Poly Gloss. My only small complaint would be the metering tips can be a pain to remove.

It worked well for me. I own a ceramic coating company, so I use these very often. I'd buy again.
This Foam Cannon definitely lived up to the hype!!! It's build like a tank and has all the features I was looking for
As with most of Griot's products, this item is overpriced compared to its real-world performance. I was really excited for this product and ordered it before any major reviews were out. I wish I had waited. It's clear I'm not the only one who is disappointed in this. The canon simply does not foam as well as cannons from other brands, most notably from Chemical Guys. I saw Griot's has responded to some of these complaints and says it's because customers aren't using their proprietary soaps. That's ridiculous. But even if you believe that, Griot's own videos show the same level of foam that I'm getting with their cannon using Gtechniq's W4 Citrus Foam. So even if I were to buy their overpriced soap, I wouldn't be getting more foam. Chemical Guys' foam cannon is just miles better than the Griot's cannon when it comes to foam. The only thing the Griot's does that the CG cannon doesn't has the ability to screw on 16 and 32oz bottles directly onto it and have the metering tip. That's why I got the Griot's cannon, but my foam game is worse because of it.
