If you enjoyed the softer, older McKees gold sponge (before the latest monstrosity), this sponge is very similar—the best, in my opinion (I own pretty much all of them). The shape is a perfect balance in your hands (as opposed to the diamond shape of others), the firmness is ideal, and there is no excessive glue in the middle to connect the two sides, providing minimal benefit while increasing risk. The color is also great to see any contamination.

Sponge does the job it's supposed to. I did notice that I wasn't able to remove all the dirt discoloration from the sponge after multiple rounds of agitation in the rinseless wash bucket but I don't believe that affects its usefulness or will scratch the paint as the discoloration is towards the base of the grid pattern.
