Used it to remove light surface imperfections with Menzerna PO 106FF and does a great job as in working with the polishes and removing the swirls and oxidations. Got the job done!
Finishes nice, removes a fair amount of swirls with just a polishing compoint, however, like someone mentioned, there seems to be an issue with the velcro. I used mine only once (did half the car with it), and after I cleaned my pads, the velcro started to peel off on one of the two green pads that I own. The other one seems to be perfectly fine (for now anyway). I purchased them about a month apart. Maybe a bad batch (both have large pores and are the same kind of a pad but they feel a tad different from one another)? I never had that problem with other LC pads. I will replace the broken pad as I have a feeling that it was just a bad batch, but if it comes off again, I will not repurchase.
The reason why Iam saying no is because the first time I used this pad and I was taking it off of the buffer, the velcro came off the back and now its useless. I maybe got 5 minutes use out of it.
As per the Ask-a-Pro Blog review of Optimum Poli-Seal, I chose to use this pad to do a one step polish on a 2010 (new) White VW Jetta after a medium clay bar treatment ... the car didn't have any LSP and got beat up by the elements.
The Poli-Seal + Green pad got a vast majority of swirls/RIDS/marring out and left a really nice gloss and depth to the paint. I used two 6" pads to cover nearly the entire car, and one 4" pad for the more intricate areas.
The only issue I've noticed is the velcro backing has already started to peel away after washing out the pads from one use ... be careful when cleaning the pads...
This is the perfect pad for correcting those finicky, softer finishes, especially ones where an orange pad would be overkill. The 4" version is a little porous and does tend to sling a bit but in the grand scheme of things, it's not a big deal. A great pad overall.
Even after a New England winter, my black metallic Grand Caravan was in fairly good shape. I thought I would try a one step rather than two step (orange and white pads) that I typically do in the spring. The green light cutting pad worked perfectly, removing swirls and light scrathes, while polishing down without haze. I was able to complete the whole job using these pads in one step, rather than the two step. Saved me a lot of time. Perfect pads for correction and finish.
