After a few months of use, I knew I loved the Flex PXE 80 12-EC/2.5 Cordless Polisher Set so much that I snagged up a second one and also decided to dip my toes into one of the PXE 80's bigger brothers, the Flex XCE 8 125 18.0 Cordless Polisher Set. In this video I share some of the things that made an immediate impression on my along with some of the ways it differs from the PXE 80 aside from the obvious difference in size.

It does tend to walk a little. Nice weight and not bad with vibration.
Does everything I needed it to do so far.
A little disappointing on battery life though!

Wasn't impressed, when compared to a wired polisher the power isn't there. It stalls and had issues with it working after 6 months. It is awesome when mobile but you'll need extra batteries. Must say this tool hasn't worked out for I've had two replacements both burnt out and stopped working completely it may be the copper fitting but if you open it voids warranty. Not happy with the build of this tool good applying sealants and wax when it works.

Absolute powerhouse. This tool destroys defects better than any of the corded long throw DA's that I own. I was in the middle of correcting a BMW M when I ordered this tool. The car had so many curved panels that I was forced to use my 3" rupes on more than half the car. I was having to use every trick in the book to make the LHR 15 correct while compounding. This tool arrived and I was able to blow through the curves and kinks with ease. I was even able to correct the thin rear spoiler with the 5 inch pad on edge. Once you try forced rotation on a super curvy vehicle its pretty tough to go back to a long stroke DA. Yes any tool can work with the correct technique but for removing defects on super hard paint there is no contest when it comes to saving time. If you are not a professional who corrects paint 300 days a year than I see no reason to purchase the corded tool. This cordless setup does not stall or slow down. it really pounds through compounds allowing you to use much less pressure. You can tell by the heat it generates on the panel when cutting. You dont have to question whether you applied enough friction to break down your abrasives.

I highly recommend for weekend warriors. With this and the cordless

It's a nice machine. Forced rotation so it does like to walk a little bit, but you need it in a machine that doesn't run at very high RPMs. Overall a very flexible tool and going cordless has been a real pleasure.

For the second time in my life I am in love. First impressions: light and agile, able to use for long periods of time without fatigue, very well balanced, a top quality piece, great fit, finish, and feel. Everything I have come to expect from Flex. Oh, and did I mention, a defect killer as well. A pleasure to use. Con: I would like tactile feedback on speed control.
