I tested this on a BMW 05' E46 M3, 191k miles with severe hard water etching, oxidation, and swirls. Hard paint.
Combinations tried:
(1) Rupes Blue Compound + Megauirs Cutting MF pad
(2) P&S Ego Maker + Meguairs Cutting MF Pad
(3) Griots Garage Fast Correcting Cream + Knitted Wool Pad.
The Knitted Wool Pad completely took away the severe defects that the previous combinations barely took care of.
It took 4 passes on speed 5 of Milwaukee 15mm DA to correct.
Pros:
- Fast cutting on severe defects.
- They don't lint too much.
- 2 pads can finish a sedan, with cleaning after each pass.
- Build quality is great, you'll get many uses out of them. Strong hook and loop.
