P&S Rags to Riches Premium Microfiber Detergent Reviews
Professional Detailer Reviews
There have always been specialized detergents to clean microfiber towels, but none that in my experience could properly restore microfiber and make them un-hydrophobic. P&S in collaboration with The Rag Company set out to do just that with its Rags to Riches Premium Detergent. This detergent was developed to deep clean and restore the absorbency of microfiber towels used in detailing, most especially microfiber used for today's high-powered sealants and silica spray products.

I purchased the P&S microfiber detergent a couple of months ago at a very good price here at Detailed Image when it was on sale and have used it several times with some of my older microfiber towels. My towels have come out very soft and clean, but some of the stained towels still have some staining that did not come out. Perhaps multiple washings will help. I washed them on warm temperature, no bleach or fabric softener, and hung them outdoors to dry. I previously used DI Micro-Restore detergent with similar results at a slightly lower cost. I would purchase either one of them again.
Works well as the surfactants are strong. I still use it in tandem with Free & Clear standard detergent.
Does great for me. Keeps microfiber staying fresh and clean for many washes.
Cleans great, like the softness of my towels after washing. I pre-soak my dirty towels in a bucket with rags to riches. Next order will be a larger bottle.
It's a step up from using a splash of vinegar with your standard microfiber detergent. Cleans very well. It has the ability to bring back some of the old microfiber towels that have been messed products that clog up the fibers . Con has to be the cost as far as how much you you pet wash.
I use this product with almost everything that goes in my wash, especially with my microfibers. Always gets dirt stains out of the wheel and engine towels and cleans up towels from dirty interior jobs with ease. Haven't tried using it to clean my correction pads yet but I have no doubts that it will be able to tackle them without issue. Only downside is this is the 4th P&S product I have received over the past year from DI that has arrived leaking. I am leaning towards this being in general a P&S issue ( hasn't happened with an CarPro or Gyeon products ordered from DI) but so far R2R, Swift, Dream Maker and Xpress have all arrived leaking or damaged. The Rags to Riches cap on the gallon was loose (was not taped) and leaked only a few ounces out from what it seems. The new sprayer on Swift 16oz (top was taped) was damaged and didn't seal causing the product to leak all over the other products in the order, Dream Maker 16oz (top was taped) had a faulty sprayer that leaked half the bottle out in shipping and my Xpress gallon (was taped) leaked as well. Regardless everytime DI has taken care of me. Rags to Riches is a great product to clean your microfibers and other household items at a fantastic cost. 10/10 recommend.
Cleans very nice, lifts the the fibers, removes product easily. No cons that I. An think of. Definitely better than regular detergent.
Love this wash detergent. It cleans extremely well. My microfiber towels are clean, and it also gets my buffing pads clean after a good soak. The built in measuring cup is great, I wish all bottles of dilutable cleaning chemicals came with one! Highly recommended.
I have purchased this product before. It works very well and I use it to soak the towels before putting them in the washing machine. The container says that it can be used in high efficient washing machines. Restores the microfiber towels to where they are soft and get back that clinging properties. The larger size container provides better value.
Fantastic microfiber towel cleaner! This product is the best I've ever used!
Disappointed in this product performance. Tried it on 6 microfiber towels that became hydrophobic after used to remove Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic Polish and Wax and Hybrid Ceramic Spray Wax. Towels had been washed previously following use with Tide Free and Gentle then air dried. Followed directions using 2 oz in bucket and soaked for 24 hr. Agitated towels in bucket multiple times while soaking. Removed towels, put in washing machine with 1 oz Rags to Riches and washed with warm water. Did a second rinse cycle. Removed towels and air dried. Saw no difference. Towels still hydrophobic and did not clean out any of the small stains. Perhaps this product doesn't work well with ceramic based coatings.
So....im not going to lie, I work at Detail Garage (selling nothing but chemical guys) and I would use almost everything from them since I get crazy deals on the stuff. But I've heard about rags to riches and I got a 32oz on Amazon a while ago, tried it and fell in love, it's been than the cg microfiber wash by a LONG shot. This and shout free stain extractor is just next level. I knew I needed a gallon of this stuff, just to keep it in stock.
If you need the best microfiber wash in the industry, look no further.
Thank you detailed image for all that you do.

Does a great job cleaning my towels.
So far, the best out of about 5 brands , I have used. Towels came out more fluffy and soft using P&S%u2026.Probably use this exclusively now.
I have tried many microfiber detergents such as Micro Restore, 3D Towel Kleen, CarPro MFX and they all work well to clean microfibers. Rags 2 Riches does a better job of restoring microfiber towels that have become hydrophobic over time. I have given towels a second life doing this. R2R also works well in removing ceramic material from towels after coating jobs to allow the towels to be used for dirty jobs. If I had to nit pick it, it would be that the others do a little better job cleaning stains compared to R2R. Other than that it is a great detergent.
I was skeptical after going through a few other brands that seemed like rebranded laundry detergent. This is the REAL DEAL. I noticed my towels felt thicker, which means the fibers are standing up higher, and thus free of weight. It can also be used as a pad cleaner. 100% recommended!

Would they buy this item again? Yes
Pros:
* Works great
* Will remove coating residue left from products such as Chemical Guys Hydro Slick, Armor Shield IX, and polish residues by following the directions for pre-soaking.
* Leaves your high GSM towels feeling soft and will lose the hydrophobic properties coatings and polishes will leave behind on your towels.
Cons: None. Try it and find out. Follow the directions, do not use a fabric softener and dry your towels on a low/medium heat, or hang them up in the sunlight. I have a MF towel addiction and I love how they come out after using P&S. Mix with your favorite detergent to add pop in the wash.

Great product! I use it a little different than the manufacturer suggests, mainly due to my being a DIY'er rather then a professional detailer. I usually wash towels about once a month, but before doing so I place 2 oz of products in a 500ml bottle and filled the rest with distill water. I spray this mixture generously on both sides, and let sit for an hour before washing with Tide Free & Clear. Another note, I separated my towels by interior/exterior use. It removes dirt, grime, and residue from other car detailing products with ease. Again, great product!
I've been a long time user of micro restore in which I got excellent results. Now that rags to riches came to the forefront it was time to give it a shot and see if its really worth the hype. Nothing different on the packaging same measure an pour.
However after soaking my towels overnight in 2oz of rag to riches detergent, the next day I saw stain free towels in the bucket of solution . After a wash cycle and low heat drying, the towels came out great looking. The towels , clean and scent free, absorption restored to at least to 75% in waffle weave , silk dryer, and edgeless microfiber towels after testing . .
Always keep in stock I'd say. It's definitely well worth it. 32oz will start you off nicely !
