Porter Cable 7424 XP Starter 6.5" Kit Reviews

We always enjoy this product, had our last one for 6 years and that is for commercial use. Detailed Image was quick on its delivery as well. Would purchase from here again in the future.

Screw in handle stripped out in 3 uses. Service has taken over 2 weeks at local service center and still isn't fixed. Very disappointed in Porter Cable product and service centers.

I purchased this 7424xp starter kit after watching several videos on the internet.
I like how you can choose the pads you want to customize your kit. I have always been scared about burning the paint with a rotary buffer, experienced that before. Polished my wife's car this weekend turned out great. Would recommend this highly.

I have always been afraid to buy a DA buffer but I bought the 7424KP starter kit. Still afraid of messing up the paint I decided to practice on my 12year old Gravely riding mower using Meguiar's 105 with a DI yellow pad, the went to Meguiar's 205 With a DI black pad then the final was with Meguiar'sNXT 2.0 tech was with a DI whit pad. The mower looks new again and I have now done the same thing on my car and truck. I did read the detailing guide a couple of times and watched that short video before I started I wish I had known about Detailed Image years ago. I was really fun to was a car again and to see the paint come back to life.

Great kit to get started. After polishing of two of my cars I already feel like it's paid for itself. Ease of use and quality of products in this kit are great. I would recommend this to anyone looking to get started.

I love the fact that i could choose the pads i wanted.BUT i would buy a better backing plate.The one that came with my starter kit just broke! While i was in the middle of detailing my sixth car.lesson learned.Now I'm going to buy 2 high quality backing plates so this doesn't happen again.Better safe than sorry.
