I only used this product once at the proper strength to prep a car for a detail. It did a great job at removing old wax and it left me with a fantastic starting point for the clay bar process. However, I found an even better use: wool wash mitt maintenance. I live in a building with water restrictions so I use Optimum No-Rinse to clean my car regularly. After each ONR task, I use 1oz (a capful) or Citrus Wash in a bucket of warm water filled to just about 2 inches above a grit guard. I then clean the wool mitt to remove the excess tar, dirt, grime and fallout that the ONR picket up and the rinse bucket doesn't remove. I was amazed at how clean the wool mitt turned out. I was even more amazed at the filthy contents of the bucket - all I could think to myself was: THAT WAS IN MY WOOL WASH MITT!!! Citrus Wash allows me to have properly maintained equipment for a professional and quality outcome. I bought a jug of the stuff because I'm going to be depending on it a lot more than I used to.
Did a poor job of removing wax and sealant despite repeated washes. I even applied it full strength, and it still didn't remove the wax. To be fair, it does produce good suds, has a pleasant smell and cleans well.
Great product . Removes what's on the car fast and easy!
Great soap, I am not too concerned about the suds, but it does sud up a lot. It also strips off waxes and sealants in the correct dilution ratio, smells good and has an eye catching color.
Good product!
Good product!
Great wash. It worked just as mentioned in several articles. It removed all of the grime off the car and had it ready for claying. A little goes a long way. I also used it to clean the Lake Country pads.
Great product, I used it in place of Citrus Wash and Gloss also by Chemical Guys in a 2 bucket method to strip out my previous layer of wax. I could be wrong, but I think it uses less soap per 5 gallon bucket of water for stripping purposes as compared to Wash and Gloss.
It worked great in a foam cannon and worked great to remove all the built-up wax and road grime.
Use in a foam cannon/gun as well as a 2 bucket wash. Works great, does not strip wax when diluted properly. Good lubricity and great suds. Not my favorite wash soap, but it's still a good one!
Smells great and creates a very lathery wash with lots of suds. I'm a pretty new detailer and haven't used a lot of different shampoos, but I found this to be the most lubricating wash I've come across yet.
What more can I say? This stuff is a industry standard and does everything you ask of it. So nice to use a product that works exactly as advertised and intended. Highly recommended! Smells nice too.
I used Chemical Guys Citrus Wash to strip my wife's 2008 Ford Edge prior to polishing and applying sealant. It did such a fantastic job that I commented that it looked like I could skip the polish and go straight to the sealant. I polished the car and only put sealant on the roof. The next day you couldn't tell what was polished and what was not! This stuff is great!
Like JetDry for your car. I washed my car with this stuff and dried it with and chamois. No spots at all. The windows were crystal clear and the paint was squeaky clean. This is the stuff to use prior to detailing your car. I would recommend this product without hestitation.
Great stuff! Cleans great and even strips wax if u need it to.
AMAZING! smells great, cleans very well and a little goes a long way
CG CW is fantastic. I've had great results removing hard water spots, and some tree sap w/o excessive rubbing. Buy some nitrile gloves and perhaps rubber band the openings so that you don't get this soap on your hands; it'll dry you out!
I love CG CW. I have been using this shampoo on my 2006 GTO after I polish and it just leaves the paint squeaky clean. It even removes light water spots from previous wash! What's great about this product it that it makes lots of suds and stays slick to prevent swirls and marring. It also has great degreasing capabilities if diluted. The only CON I have about this product is that it drys you're hands like crazy. Best if wear nitrile gloves when using this shampoo. I would definately buy this product again.
One of the best shampoos hands down. A little goes a long long long ways, it suds perfect and seems to never end. I was able to wash the car, let the soapy water sit and wash another car with the same soap by just spraying some high pressure water to create more suds. The smell is friendly and my black grand cherokee has never looked cleaner
Great Shampoo. I used this product at full strength to remove previous layers of wax to give me a clean base for the claying process. I was very pleased with the results.
CG Citrus Wash is an excellent product. After I used it for the 1st time last weekend with a wool mitt, my wife remarked how shiny and clean the car looked, especially the windows (and this is using wax-stripping dilution ratio and prior to applying new LSP). It was a pleasure to use - lots of suds, great cleaning ability, moderate lubricity. I am neutral with the smell, as I thought it had kind of a chemical odor (but only when I sniffed the concentrate in the bottle - during the wash, I did not notice much smell at all). I would definitely recommend this product.
The CG made for a very easy wash. No rubbing required. I just gently patted a sheepskin mitt wet with the soap solution over the car, and it cleaned right up.
awesome wash. lots of suds and slippery to get off that dirt and can be diluted to your needs. nice scent too.
Great product, dilluted enough so it wouldn't strip the wax and it made the car look beatiful. Tons of suds, no streaking, and removed a lot of tar.
