It can not burn the paint like a rotary buffer can, but it still has plenty of power to remove swirls and other fine imperfections in the paint. First time detailers, with this buffer, are often amazed at how easy it is and how well they did on their very first try. It has different speeds so you can work at a slow and gentle speed if desired. Turn it up to top speed when you want the maximum cutting power to work in a polish and remove those surface imperfections. The stock PC 7424XP does not include a backing plate you can use with other pads so we have included the Lake Country 4" Hook and Loop Backing Plate in this kit. The backing plate allows you to use any of our hook and loop pads. Using the right pad is critical to getting maximum results so while working in a polish you can use a more aggressive pad or apply your favorite sealant with an ultra soft pad. This is essential to achieving high quality results as you need to match the pad to the product you plan on using. This kit includes the 4" White Polishing Pad which is a versatile pad. These smaller 4" pads help you get more polishing power with an orbital buffer like the PC 7424 XP so it's a great size to work with.
