Meguiar's Backing Plate and Adapter Kit gives you all the tools you need to use the 3" backing plate as a sander or backing plate with almost any sand or buffer. It has a hook and loop backing plate that works with Meguiar's Pads, Lake Country Mfg Pads, etc that are 3" - 4" in size. The smaller backing plate size helps you work in tighter spaces more comfortably. Use this backing plate and pad to work on spoilers, under spoilers, side mirrors, under mirrors, bumpers, door jambs, around lights and other tough to access areas. Just slap the pads on the backing plate and the hook and loop backing plate will tightly grip the pad. When you are done pull along the edge of the pad carefully and it will release quick and easy.

This backing plate can also be used with certain sanding discs for those doing serious paint correction. The adapter kit comes with a variety of threadings so you can use it with various buffers and sanders. It obviously works great with with the Porter Cable 7424XP Random Orbital Buffer and most other buffers in the detailing industry. It's also designed to work with other tools found more commonly in a body shop.
