I've purchased this product many many times, and like everything about it... except that the largest size container is only 32 oz. The water I use to wash my cars is softened (0 grains of hardness), so it is difficult for shampoo to lather. I usually end up using closer to 4-5 oz per wash. I'm going to try out a Chemical Guys shampoo I saw on this site, at 128 oz for only $20. See how that works out.

I guess I'm the only no vote here...I tried this because I ran out of Duragloss car wash and the good reviews that SS&S gets....However in my opinion it is no where near as good...More suds and shine from DG 901 and this site doesn't sell it....I do use a lot of Poorboys products but this won't be one of them...

I have used a ton of soaps and this is the best one. I would even put it above optimum car wash in terms of lubricity. Awesome car wash!

This is the greatest auto shampoo ever. It is so slippery and is very easily rinsed off. I would recommend this SS&S to anyone who wants the absolute best for their vehicles. I'll be buying this from now on.

A very good auto soap, plenty of suds and a high degree of lubricity. I plan to keep using as my primary auto wash soap.

This is by far the best auto *soap* I've ever used. It smells great, and leaves your car feeling much smoother than most other auto soaps. I don't think I plan on ever using any other auto soap. HIGHLY recommend.

Goals for the product:
When I shop for a car wash soap I'm looking for something that helps me get my car clean and shiny without marring the finish. Suds are nice too but slipperyness is my main concern as this is what helps wash the car without scratching the paint.

Packaging Info:
I bought the 32 oz. size pictured above. It has a nice flip spout top and the typical black & white simple Poorboy's label.

Color/Scent:
SS&S is a VERY thick liquid, orange in color, and smells orange-like.

How I used it:
I filled a 5 gallon bucket with 3 gallons of water, added 2 oz. of SS&S (per instructions) and then sprayed in one more gallon of water. I then added a grit-guard to the bucket and washed the car using a sheepskin mitt.

Thoughts:
Poorboy's SS&S is IMO hands down the best car wash soap money can buy. Sure there are other soaps which suds as much and clean as well, but no other soap and I mean no other soap that I have tried can match SS&S in the category of lubricity. Most detailing enthusiasts will agree that lubricity (sliperiness) is the most important aspect of a car wash soap. This is the factor that helps prevent marring during the wash process. Your wash mitt literally glides over the paint. It's amazing!! As a bonus SS&S is also quite concentrated so a little goes a long way and it foams really well.
