Flex 24V Random Orbital Polisher Reviews

Exceeded expectations - smooth, powerful, and a joy to use. I was initially hesitant to buy this DA because of the lack of detailed long-term reviews; most of what I found were simple unboxings or one early review suggesting it wasn't very smooth. However, after putting it to work, my experience has been excellent.

While it feels a little "choppy" on speed 1 while spreading polish (likely just my own learning curve with the tool), it completely transforms once you hit speeds 3 and 4. At that point, it becomes incredibly silky and stable. The power delivery is impressive—it winds up quickly and stays smooth, very similar to the 18v ShineMate units I enjoy. I used it today alongside the Flex Rotary (also an incredible experience) with a "blueberry" pad, and the combination was delightful. Great fast results without any issue or fatigue whatsoever. Highly recommended.

Of my 9 polishers in eight years this is my first cordless and it is absolutely great. I do 50 to 60 vehicles a year and used the new Flex Random Orbital last Sunday on a 2002 Yukon that needed some help. This machine was so smooth and efficient. I was able to polish for 35 minutes before switching batteries. My other Flex is the corded direct drive XCE 10-8 and it can be a beast. I bought several of the new Buff & Shine EdgeGuard pads to try with this new Flex. These pads paired nicely with this machine. I will be ordering additional EdgeGuard on my next DI order.
