Product Description

Power Gloss is a heavy polish or compound that comes from Menzerna, which is one of the world's oldest and most distinguished manufacturers of polishes. This heavy cutting polish is designed to help remove some of your worst surface imperfections. Generic heavy cutting polishes use large polishing particles to get their cutting power that are loosely clustered. These larger particles almost certainly mean the clear coat will have more haze and marring which requires more polishing to restore a transparent clear coat. Menzerna uses a very different approach that gives you more cutting power and a fraction of the normal surface haze. Menzerna uses an ingenious method of using exactly the same size micro abrasives that are densely clustered. Having all of these uniform micro abrasives tightly gathered gives you outstanding cutting power to remove heavier swirls, scratches and other imperfections. If your vehicle needs it's paint to be restored to like new condition then the Power Gloss is the perfect product to start with. Whenever you use a heavy cutting polish we typically recommend you follow it up with lighter polish(s) to ensure there is no haze and the surface has optimal gloss. Would they buy this item again? Yes
This compound requires the right kind of paint to be completely effective and is best suited to harder paints found on German and GM vehicles. I used Power Gloss to correct a completely trashed tailgate on a GMC Yukon. While it did leave behind considerable hologramming, the major scratches and defects didn't stand a chance. Finish it down correctly and Power Gloss is a fantastic product to have in your arsenal.

I did notice it tends to be a bit 'stringy' coming out of the tube and loves to drip over the side of the pad so watch where it goes.

I use Menzerna Polishes, exclusively. This is a heavy compound and it is very aggressive. Since it dusts heavily and leaves heavy marring it is not a compound that I recommend. Meguiars Diamond Cut Compund is almost as aggressive, but leaves a much smoother surface. Menzerna Nano polish will easily clean up the Diamond Cut, but Menzerna SIP is necessary to clean up after Power Gloss, then another polish is used to finish. Either Nano or Pristine Finish to complete. My 2 cents..
