The Porter Cable 7424 comes standard with a fixed backing plate on a low quality pad that we don’t recommend using on your vehicle. We strongly recommend you use a hook & loop backing plate and high quality pads. The backing plate screws directly in to your Porter Cable 7424 and allows you to easily swap and clean pads.
