Polish

Polishing your clear coated surfaces can provide the most dramatic improvement in the appearance and quality of your clear coat. As most detailers know the end result is a direct reflection of your prep work, not just your final coat of protection. Some polishes have chemical cleaners designed to clean the surface while others have cutting particles in them designed to buff out swirls. Depending on what polish you select you can remove surface contamination, swirls, fine scratches, water marks, etchings, oxidation and other imperfections. When selecting a polish you can use paint cleaners (chemical polishes), light polishes (finishing polishes), medium polishes (cutting polishes) and heavy polishes (compounding polishes).
