Product Description

The Last Detail The Last Cut +, aka TLC+, is a water-based compound, designed to help you remove heavy imperfections safely and easily. TLC+ provides a careful blend of diminishing abrasives that provide more cutting action during the diminished state of these abrasives. Simply put, this compound has added corrective power making it great for correction on clear coat or gel coat surfaces. Use it with a rotary polisher, forced rotation, dual action polisher, with foam pads, microfiber pads, etc. The combinations are really endless! TLC+ is silicone-free, contains no fillers, and is body shop safe. If you are looking to remove lighter imperfections or want a lighter polishing step to follow up the TLC+, The Last Detail The Last Cut Compounding Glaze is a perfect compliment. Remove heavy imperfections, swirls, light scratches, and more with the Last Detail The Last Cut +!

From The Label

Product Description

  • Compatible with Dual Action and Rotary machines
  • Works on Foam, Microfiber and Wool Pads
  • Heavy Defect removal - No Fillers
  • Extended product work time
  • Body Shop Safe - Silicone Free
  • Low Dust

Directions

Shake well before use. Ensure surface is clean, dry and free of contaminants. Bonded contaminants should be removed using a clay bar or equivalent method. Do not use on surfaces that are excessively hot to the touch. TLC+ may be used in direct sunlight if necessary but product performance cannot be used guaranteed.

When using a dual-action polisher, apply three dime size amounts to a foam, microfiber or wool pad. For increased aggression 1-2 additional dots can be added. TLC+ utilizes diminishing abrasives so product spreading technique is key. For optimal results, do not spread this product over the work areas using machine speed 1 or 2. Spread by using hand motion over the work area. This avoids the diminishing process prematurely and provides the highest defect removal capability. The typical work area is 24" x 24", however this can be adjusted based on your needs or task at hand. Machine speed will vary based on pad selection however #6 or #5 is generally preferred for the best defect removal aspect of paint correction using TLC+. Work product into paint using slow hand motion in your preferred pattern until desired results are achieved.

When using with a high-speed rotary polisher, equip machine with a foam or wool pad. Apply 4 dime size amounts to pad or your preferred compound application technique. Set RPM to 1400 or above; using your chosen hand motion method until desired results are achieved. Remove residue using a clean, dry microfiber towel.

TLC+ provides no protection so a product of your choice will need to applied thereafter. For Gel Coat applications, a Rotary machine paired with a wool pad is preferred.

I bought TLC+ directly from Jace (the owner/creator of TLD Products) but I use Detailed Image FREQUENTLY so I wanted to add my review here!

This compound has really been a knockout for me so far. I do a lot of vehicles, and have a *lot* of different compounds and polishes. I have used a good bit of the original "The Last Cut" but there were definitely many heavy cutting situations where it left me wanting (although it excels in what it was meant for, which is not *always* to bring the heaviest cut) I have had the original TLC lift some very heavy defects, it just depends on the vehicle and combination at hand.

TLC+ absolutely picks up where TLC left off, and so far shows zero signs of a lesser finish (in fact, it seems to finish even better in my experience - if you can believe it). On the particular vehicle I am doing now (C7 Z06, somewhat hard clear) TLC+ on a very aggressive wool cutting pad and a Rupes 15 Mark 3 is cutting out pretty severe defects and leftover 1500 grit (or deeper) DA sanding pigtails - all while finishing down NEARLY perfect, even after a panel wipe. My refinement stage will be extremely quick and easy. The wipe off is very good, unless you do not break the product/abrasives down adequately - and even then, it isn't bad.

Jace is 2 for 2 on his polishes; both of them are beautiful creations that have all the qualities you want, and none of the ones you don't. TLC+ (and TLC) are well worth the price and I am very glad I was able to test this out so quickly after purchasing.

Buy the 32oz!! You won't regret it. Thank you Detailed Image for carrying Jace's products!
