Clay Bar

The process of using a clay bar helps remove contamination that is embedded in and on top of the ridges of the clear coat. Using a clay bar is quite safe and easy if you have the right products and the proper technique. To use a clay bar simply spray a small section of your vehicle with a clay lube and gently glide your bar side to side. After you have completed a small section wipe away the excess clay lube with a clean microfiber towel, remold the clay to expose a fresh surface and repeat the process on a new section. The clay bar can help remove tar, road grime, rail dust, brake dust, bug smear and many surface contaminates on glass and clear coated surfaces. Clay lubes can be the same thing as a quick detailer and their basic function is to provide lubrication between the clear coat and clay bar. The clay lube helps reduce friction between the clay and the contamination so they can be removed safely.
