The Rupes BigFoot Mark V Polisher offers an incredible balance of power, safety and performance that enthusiasts and professionals will enjoy. With advanced features and cutting-edge design elements, Rupes improved on the already popular Mark III for the Mark V. Now, you might be asking what happened to the IV, well the main reason is that Rupes considers their awesome battery powered units (iBrid HLR21 and iBrid HLR15) as their 4th iteration. The Mark V is engineered from the ground up for optimal performance and to effortlessly achieve the best polishing results possible. Additionally Rupes designs all of their polishers to be a system meaning that every component (ie polisher, backing plate, Rupes Pad and Rupes Polish) is meant to work together extremely well. With the improved design, a common theme is the strong emphasis on vibration reduction, noise reduction and overall machine efficiency and comfort. This is a great machine. It's feels and sounds like a huge improvement over the mark3 polisher. No issues with backing plate overheating or velcro failure.
Has to be one of the best polishers out there. Super smooth and quiet and easy to use. Love the variable trigger makes cleaning up and spreading out polish easier. Will be looking into the other sizes rupes offers
First off, Reece was a great help with making this purchase. Over the past few years, I have contacted Reece often for help and suggestions. Reece along with the rest of the DI staff are hands down the best customer service I have ever dealt with, period.
The polisher exceeded my expectations. I honestly couldn't believe it. Rotary polishers make me nervous, and my little Porter Cable was leaving a lot of corrections I felt I should be able to remove. The Mark V LHR15 was the answer. It was so smooth it felt like polishing with Unicorn tears. The trigger is my favorite part. It is easy to operate, easy to adjust the speed, and just easy overall.
