Dodo Juice Purple Haze Soft Wax Product Reviews

Saves me a lot of time when detailing because of how easily it goes on and off. Great stuff

I had superior results with my first use of Purple Haze. I was intrigued by the product line, so I purchased several pots. Purple Haze was the first one I wanted to use since it was on an Obsidian Black 2004 Mercedes E320, a customer of mine. After great prep with Menzerna and a coat of FMJ, I went to town.

While the pot was small, the "meat" of your palm fits nicely into the pot and allows you to apply thinly, with ease. The Purple Haze glided on very easily, almost like butter. While the feel of it is almost gritty in nature, at no time did I feel uncomfortable with it on my customer's vehicle. It does take a bit more time to set (which I like), therefore allowing me to get more done on a panel than a typical paste wax.

Removal was effortless, and any missed streaks were easily taken off with my final wipedown. The color, depth, and wetness were superior to many of the pastes I had used in the past.

Wow, After some solid prep with menzerna products I put this on my sparkling graphite bmw and all I can say is wow. Really added that wet look and makes the metallic in the paint pop in the sun. I bought the sample size and I think I may have put it on a bit thicker than usual because I used almost half of the sample that is supposed to do 4 cars. Nonetheless it was very easy to work with. I put it on by hand, let is set for 10 mins or so and then simply wiped it down with an MF towel. This is super easy to work with and the results are excellent. I will follow this up with the supernatural for a second coat once this cures and the combo of a soft and hard wax should give me plenty of protection. This was so easy I would do it every week when I do my weekly through wash. I love the fact that Dodo Juice lets you buy a small size container and figure out what wax you like before you spend 60 bucks or more on a tin of wax. I am a Dodo guy for life. Just buy this product and as long as you do some surface prep you will be rewarded like you could not believe.

Bought the sample size. As others mentioned, it does feel like butter with a bunch of sand in it. Very wierd. I applied it to my black G35 and found it to be very high effort. Don't know what I was doing wrong, as I followed the directions on the bottle and the web for hand application. Hard work putting it on, hard work getting it off. And the shine was beaten by Natty's Blue. It does seem to last quite a long time though.

Overall, I found it really a PITA and not worth the money. Doubt I'll try any Dodo products in the near future.

Amazing Results! Just applied to a black '09 Mazda 6 and a black '99 BMW 5. Both cars now have the deepest black I've ever seen. Remember to apply lightly and the hazed wax will slide right off. Sample 30ml size can detail 4 (maybe 5) midsized cars.

This was def. worth it! So easy to apply and just had my first rain to see the results. Even though the easy on and off application sold me in the first place. The beading properties gave me that extra confidence.

I tried the 30 ml sample on my blue 06 Tacoma and although I'm not sure this is considered a dark color, it worked out well.Easy on, easy off,very shiny,beads like hell.I probably wasted a couple of gallons of water testing it's bead factor.After waxing tha truck it looks like I can Squeeze at least four more passes out of that small container.You can spend you time imagining ang guessing ,or you can spend a few bucks and understand.

I bought the small 30ml purple haze for my black Lexus. The wax is easy to aplly and remove. It left the paint with a nice wet & deep look. Dodo is a good wax, but I prefer to use the Natty blue for the same results at a lower price.

This is the second DoDo product I ever bought..It won't be the last. I really like it. It's simple. It's easy. It works as advertised. My wife's Crossfire says Thank You.

I use Purple Haze on all black cars. it truly does apply a deep wet look to the car. It also beads off water and saves time in the drying process. One coat is all i need.

I applied Purple Haze to my Dark Shadow Gray 03 Cobra and the result was flat out amazing! I applied two coats by hand (literally) and the final finish now looks deeper than ever. The metallic in the paint pops like never before and the depth is simply amazing. I can't speak about the durability at this point, but I gotta be honest, I don't think I care. It looks so good and is so easy to use, I really don't mind applying it again if need be.

this is the most sexy wax i have ever used. i put it on and in 5 to 10 i was wiping it off. Just one wipe with a towel and that was it. The most easy wax that i have ever used. End of story buy this and you will love it

Bought Dodo blue and it was great. Got a sample of Dodo purple as part of a special and liked it even more. Easier to put on. Both are great products!

I use it on my Honda City, dark blue.
Very-very easy to use, the wax can easily bond to the surface. Love the smell too. Just wait 10 minutes and buff easily. The result is remarkable. I tried the water beading, and is good.

I used Purple Haze on my Montego Blue BMW 335i with awesome results. Application and removal was easy and less work than I had anticipated. I used a foam applicator rather than by hand as is suggested on the label. The resulting shine is really incredible. Thanks to Detailed Image for making Dodo Juice available. Highly recommended.

I used the Purple Haze on my Black Infiniti G37 and the results are amazing! It literally has the consistency and feel of butter and will melt right in your hand. It takes very little effort to apply a small amount of this product and buff. No need to mask any trim or rubber parts if you are applying by hand as it leaves absolutely no residue. Took me about 2 hours to apply and buff by hand and the jar probably has another 15 applications in it at least. I am stoked and have found a new friend in Dodo Juice!!!
