12 Steps to Home Brewing:
Your homebrew wax is easy to use but not as refined as a production wax. Therefore, it may be harder than you expect and may sometimes feel a little grainy. This is normal (hard wax simply applies more thinly and sparingly to paint) and any wax grains that are present will be soft enough to dissolve on contact with paint.
- Take both the LIQUID PHASE and SOLID PHASE out of the tin.
- Place the SOLID PHASE into the saucepan, so it sits in the middle. Do not apply any stickers to the jar and leave the lid off.
- Pour water into the saucepan up to the level of dry contents in the glass jar. Make sure you so not get any water in the open jar!
- Now open the LIQUID PHASE bottle and pour the contents in the jar. This will fill the glass jar to approximately the shoulder.
- Give the mixture in the glass jar a stir using the stirrer provided to make sure the wax is covered.
- Turn on the hob and gently bring the water to the boil. The jar will become agitated as the water starts to boil. You will notice the wax starting to melt - stir it using the stirrer provided. Once the water has boiled, turn down the hob allow the water to simmer.
- As you are bringing the temperature of the mixture up to melting point, you can start to think of a good name for your new wax.
- Continue to heat the mixture until it goes from being cloudy to clear (and there are no residual pieces). Now you have a transparent amber liquid, your wax is ready for the cooling process.
- Move the saucepan off the hat hob onto a cool ring carefully. Get a jug of cold water and fill the saucepan to the shoulder of the glass jar. (Take care not to get water into your new wax - if you do, please do not attempt to pour it out; the wax may not be perfect, but it could still be usable if only a little water has contaminated the mixture.) Warning: Although the water is now luke warm the wax will still be hot! Do not touch the glass jar or attempt to remove it.
- The molten wax should be left to cool naturally, in the saucepan. It may take 12-24 hours to fully cool and harden. We would suggest allowing 48 hours before you use it.
- After removing the glass jar from the saucepan and giving it a good clean, fill in the name of your Dodo Juice Home Brew on the label using permanent marker(s). Affix your front label, rear label and lid label.
- Congratulations, you're a Home Brewer! Your wax is ready - now go detail that car.

- Get a little wax on your fingertips or a soft foam applicator; if you have sensitive skin, use an applicator pad and wear protective gloves, if necessary.
- Rub the wax onto the paint surface, in a thin layer... you don't need to go up and down or around in circles. Just make sure there is thin, even coverage.
- Wait 15-20 minutes for the wax to go "hazy" i.e. lose its shine and turn matt in appearance.
- Buff the wax with a sift microfibre cloth, to a high shine.

This is another awesome Dodo Juice product. The instructions are simple and straight forward. When your done you get 250ml of wax. The caranuba and beeswax does take a while to melt down so be patient.
